About a month ago, my friends over at GAMEDAY sent me a direct message on Instagram asking the team at Baseball Authority to give their protein bars a try. Without hesitation I said yes as our team consumes protein bars everyday whether it's for practices, games, workouts, or something quick just to get into our body. The one condition we gave GAMEDAY was that we would give our honest opinion of their bars whether that be good or bad just like we do for any of the companies that ask us to try their products.
Two weeks ago we opened our door to a package filled with protein bars and a nice note from GAMEDAY brands CEO Jon McMurray. He explained his story on why and how he created these bars. Jon bought a protein bar and a bottle of water. While on the plane eating the bar, he got about halfway through and thought to himself, “I can’t finish this, it just doesn’t taste good.” This is a problem that every one that has eaten a protein bar can relate to. So his goal was to create protein bars that are better for you and actually taste great. So for the past two weeks, we have put the bars to the test and been eating them throughout the day and we wanted to give our honest feedback to our followers on the GAMEDAY protein bars.
The bars that we sampled were the GAMEDAY PROTEIN Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chocolate and the GAMEDAY ENERGY Coffee Latte bar. All bars have 20-21g protein, gluten free, no GMO, no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives, 0g trans fat, and 0g cholesterol.

Coffee Latté – Energy Bar
Description: "Smooth French Roast Coffee, combined with rich dark chocolate and a splash of milk for an amazing Coffee Latte’ flavor. 20g of protein with 70mg of caffeine, this bar has a light crispy consistency, unlike traditional bars."
Our Thoughts:
We at Baseball Authority our huge fans of coffee so before trying this bar, we were skeptical on if we would like this one or not. This turned out to be our favorite bar of the three, which is really impressive. I found myself starting my days with these bars and even eating them before workouts and practices. To me it seems as if this bar is the perfect combination of coffee to chocolate and the taste is out of this world. For many people, it's difficult enough to get started in the morning, never-mind get through an entire day without a cup of coffee, well this is the perfect bar for you. This gives you the perfect amount of caffeine to give you a kickstart to your workout or day.

Chocolate – Protein Bar

Our Thoughts:
The chocolate protein bar is a classic with so many companies promoting their own form of a chocolate protein bar. Few are able to pull off a natural tasting bar with healthy ingredients, but GAMEDAY knocks this one out of the park. The consistency of the bar with its 55g rice krispy treat taste really shines with the chocolate. When it comes to protein bars, what looks good on paper can all too easily end up tasting like chalk. This is not the case with this GAMEDAY chocolate protein bar. The rich taste of the chocolate combined made this bar perfect for after a tough workout or long day.

Peanut Butter Chocolate – Protein Bar

Our Thoughts:
Last, is the peanut butter chocolate protein bar. Once again they hit a homerun with the chocolate flavor. I have tried so many protein bars and can guarantee that GAMEDAY has the best tasting chocolate in the game. The peanut butter adds a nice hint to make the bar taste even better. In fact, the only problem I have with this bar is that I wish there was more peanut butter, but that is just my preference. GAMEDAY has definitely raised the bar for flavor and quality ingredients in the protein bar world.

Overall, I am super impressed with the GAMEDAY Protein Bars and I am super excited that they gave us the chance to give them a try.
